In 2006 when I was just starting to get an interest in photography I didnt know exactly how all encompassing my beginning interest would eventually become. Even though only a few years have passed since then I now feel as if photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have always had a fascination for the slightly bizarre and alien so I suppose that it's only natural that my main interest in photography lies in the macro realm, specifically insect macro photography. For the first two seasons my approach to insect photography was mostly documentary but also with a certain need to see just how close it was possible to get. Lately however, I have started to see things a bit differently. Now, instead of just striving for maximum magnification I would rather work on things such as composition and lightning. These are two areas of photography that I have not mastered to any great degree yet. So far I have only been working on a strictly amateurial basis purely for the fun of it. Unlike many amateurs I have no specific desire to go pro because I'm worried that I would no longer be having fun if I constantly had to worry about being in the black at the bank. As such I dont go to any great pains in promoting my photos though I do have profiles on some of the larger photographic forums and gallery sites. The website you are currently visiting is of my own design, it was created mostly in notepad and is as such not a great work of internet art, but it's very simplicity is what I like about it.
